Terms & Acceptable Use

These terms govern your use of the Pinobyte Playground and any demo scraping functionality on pinobyte.io (the "Service"), operated by Pinobyte("we", "us", "our"), Emilii Plater 53, 00-113 Warsaw, Poland. By submitting a URL or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service is

The Playground is a limited demonstration of our scraping engine. You provide a URL and we execute a single retrieval of that page on your behalf so you can evaluate the engine. It is not a production API, a storage service, or a general-purpose proxy.

You are responsible for the targets you submit

You choose the URLs. You are solely responsible for ensuring that, for every URL you submit, you:

• have the legal right to access and retrieve that content;
• comply with the target site's terms of service, robots.txt, and any technical or contractual access restrictions;
• comply with all applicable laws, including intellectual-property, computer-misuse, and data-protection laws (e.g. the GDPR).

We execute the request you provide; we do not select, endorse, or take responsibility for the target, and we do not own the returned content.

Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

• access content you are not authorized to access, or circumvent logins, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, or other access controls;
• retrieve or compile personal data in violation of applicable privacy law;
• target government, military, banking, payment, healthcare, or other sensitive or regulated systems;
• access illegal content, including any child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes third-party rights;
• overload, disrupt, or harm any target site, network, or system;
• use the Service as a production, bulk, or free API, or resell or redistribute access to it;
• attempt to bypass the Service's rate limits, quotas, or bot protection, or probe our infrastructure.

Demo limits and availability

The Service is rate-limited and capped by volume, per visitor and overall. We may throttle, block, or refuse any request, and may change or withdraw the Service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or completeness of any result — pages may be blocked, partial, or unavailable.

Logging and abuse prevention

To protect the Service and prevent abuse, we log requests, including the submitted URL, timestamp, and originating IP address. We may use these logs to enforce these terms, investigate misuse, and comply with legal obligations. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pinobyte is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or the results it returns, including any claim by a target site or third party relating to a URL you submitted. You agree to use the Service at your own risk and to be responsible for your own use of any results.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
